haven't done many modifications case because it really doesn't need any, but i am looking to get some new parts to mod into it, just don't have the cash for case stuff at the moment.

used some regular old spray paint, if i could afford to get myself a good powder coating system i would have powder coated it instead, but really out of my price range.

processor is under liquid cooling, a corsair h50 self contained unit. i prefer this to a custom water or liquid nitrogen setup because i move parts and my system too often to deal with it all. i have setup custom liquid cooling loops on this system though:


just too much upkeep for me to continue to use it

The only things im comparable with is maybe the GPU (Nvidia 9600 GSO but can't remember the specs of it) 7xx ram blah blah, probably not even close to be honest.

I have a little over 2TB + a 64GB solid state to put in to run the OS off.

Oh and I have a Blu-ray re-writter.

Cant really compete so im off to work sulking!

waiting on SSDs until i can afford to raid two of these, my two blacks in raid 0 preform just about as good as a single ssd, so i'm not too anxious.

i have another video card too, that i sometimes use for physx or as a dedicated folder. an xfx 8800gt, beast of a card but i'm more or less just holding on to it for for when i need to send my main card in for warranty service. hoping this gtx 260 can hold out a little longer, until the gtx 460s are released in a month or two...so when i send it in i can get one of those as a replacement (lifetime warranty ftw)

bluray writer on the list of things to get, as well as a nice 5.1 speaker system, maybe a new sound card too but nothing i necessarily need

Blu-Ray re-writters may seem like a good idea BUT make sure you can use them properly (then they are a good idea)

I can burn etc no problem BUT I cannot watch a protected (normal retail) Blu-Ray using it. Can't remember the name of the protection off hand but your drive, graphics card AND bloody monitor need to work in conjunction. My drive and card are fine, my monitor is the stopper, it has not got the decoder thingy or something.

I would have thought your monitor will be fine and obviously the drive when you get it and the card (which ever you are using) but it may be worth just checking IF you plan on watching bought films on your beast!
